Hard Drive and Tape Degaussing

Our Portable Magnetic Disk and Tape Degaussing carts can be taken from room to room Degaussing everything at the convenience of its use location.

The LM-1 degausser uses conveyor belt system that provides rapid, continuous erasure with a throughput of up to 1,800 tapes or hard disk drives per hour.

The tape or hard disk drive (HDD) is pulled inside the degausser where it passes a shielded permanent magnet that completely sanitizes the media

Independent scientific testing confirms this degausser erases Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded (LMR) and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded (PMR) hard disk media with a coercivity of 5000 Oersteds and tape media with a coercivity of 2800 Oersteds.
